Matterport 3D Tour shot by Jeff Nitschke Hi All, I spotted this Matterport 3D Tour – shot with an Insta360 One X – on the Facebook page of Terry Martin. Your thoughts? Shot a space with an Insta360 One X and published via Matterport? Please share here. Best, Dan |

It's OK but Matterport looks and feels much better. Looking at the office shots they are blurring. |

It is acceptable, not more than that I would say. Do you know the setup of the camera? I think the key is here. |

May be an option for a back up camera rather than buying a second Pro2

Very far away from Matterport quality. As far away as the price of both. Including the Ricoh Theta V. Is another league.

Only 4 comments: - At night and day, I had nice quality pictures with my Theta S long time ago. What I don´t know is if Matterport lets the user setup picture configuration or not. - If we can edit Theta or insta 360 photos, it is interesting. - Useful for large outdoor places perhaps in combination with Matterport camera (I don't know if we can use both cameras at the same space). - Interesting to get aerial view hanging the Theta or insta to a drone or a long extended stick. |

An example (difficult to do with the Matterport Camera): |

The person that did that demo also did the same space with a theta - and a Matterport 1 and pro2. The Pro2 was the best. I question why if you have a Pro2 - what’s the point of shooting with an inferior camera. Matterport wants more people to sign up for processsing. And if they reduce the entry point from $3000 and $49 per month to $500 and $10 per month - they just created a higher revenue stream. Of course it’s no different than hiring a company to shoot a video with a RED vs an iPhone. |

The Insta 360 One X has a lower mp count than its predecessor, but makes up for it with better lenses (f/2.0 compared to f/2.2). While the X also has HDR, it doesn't seem optimized for a wide variety of lighting situations. While this may not be a huge deal when viewing on a small screen, it is a value issue when zooming in for more detail. Overall, even the new Insta is still quite behind what the Pro2 can produce. But in the long term, it's only a matter of time before a consumer grade camera comes into play that surpasses the Pro2. |

Hello all, long time I have being here,( more that 6 years I think) and follow the Matterport and more, To make great 360 picture learn the camera, you can even make night shots with the Insta 360! I know it's lower res. than the Matterport, not all houses are 1 billion, so in other markets you can use 360 cameras that have a lower resolution, thats great. Also not all Matterport users use the Matterport for Haus stuff, there are other great ways to get paid for great 360-3D stuff... https://kuula.co/post/7lRjy Vincent |
