So here is the Big question of the DAY... 1. Can an i phone download the showcase app and can we see a tour on an i phone just like I do on my i pad without it being live? 2. If 1. is a yes then can we play the VR part of it on the i phone as well ? |

I think the second part was meant like this ? If you are NOT online and you have the showcase app in your i phone will it play the no-live downloaded tour on the phone thru the VR headset ...and why won't the Mattertags play in the VR headset ? Thanks Carlos |

@DouglasMeyers I just tried downloading a space to the showcase app and then initiating a VR session from that space while in airplane mode and it did not work. It seems that to launch the VR session, the app still relies on the VR URL instead of the information stored in the showcase app. Hopefully a workaround can be found though, because it would be great to get a few iPhones and just have them pre-loaded and offline! |

I have an iPhone8 standard on the latest version of IOS. A google cardboard viewer (Merge viewer) The following apps: Cardboard, Matterport VR & Matterpord 3D Showcase. The Matterport VR has successfully paired with the Merge viewer. The Problem that I have is when I go to the Matterport showcase app I successfully download the model and can view it on my phone, but as soon as I tap on the VR icon it takes me to the "View Space in Virtual Reality" page which requests me to "Tap to view space in VR" When I do that it asks me to "Open link in Safari" This leads me to an error message on a "localhost" url "Safari cannot open the page because it could not establish a secure connection to the server" Any of all you clever people know how to solve this problem? |

Yes that is exactly what we need. Maybe Matterport will figure that out one day. |

Douglas, you can use the Matterport VR app with your iPhone now, they started doing that several months ago.

@CarlosFHdz The Matterport VR app does not work in the UK where I am at the moment. It does not open the link in Safari. See my post above.
