Changing Colors and textures6117

Andyh2o2 private msg quote post Address this user
Hi, I’m looking for a reliable method of changing a Matterport scan space to reflect new colors, floor tiles, textures, furniture and decor... then re-upload to an online environment to demonstrate to the client how their space could look with renovation and a schedule of works.

Can anyone suggest how and who?

Thanks

Andy

Hi Andy,

we alter mMtterport obj files, adding/removing items and then creating a branded standalone file or export videos / images.

The standalone file can be for normal navigation or vr ready.

below are a couple of examples...

original

standalone program
standalone program VR

altered

altered standalone program
altered standalone program vr

the standalone programs need a computer with a dedicated graphics card which is "OpenGL4.2" compatible

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460/Quadro 2000 and newer
AMD Radeon HD 6800 series/FirePro W5000 and newer

Hi Andy,

Below is another example we are working on for WoodenStairs Ltd

visualizations of a staircase so the client can see how it is going to look like.

for me the main advantage is the fact that the main contractor / builders can see any clashes or problems with the site or staircase before anything goes in to production.

@Andyh2o2 Did you know the USD49.00 MatterPak Bundle? OBJ file is not free by the release of MatterPak.
But JuMP team can provide the OBJ generation service from Matterport Showcase database.
And now we are gathering the support email.
clickable text

BTW you can provide one of your Showcase link and we can generate OBJ demo for you.
With the OBJ file and texture you can change some color if you like.
But please be noticed the OBJ that we generated is same resolution of dollview of Matterport showcase.

@Andyh2o2 Hi Andy, we (Blue-Sketch) can stage snapshots with new materials, structure, furniture, etc. The outcome is a still .jpg image (not a virtual tour) which the builder can use on their website.

I will PM you some recent cases we've done.

Alternatively we can create a furnished 3D Floor Plan, again still .jpg images, of how the place looks like after renovation.
