How do you do multiple floors properly in GSV? I think Google has not released the new API yet. I might be wrong. Any suggestions.

@grmngrl You are correct in that Google has not released the ability to do multiple floors using the new API. The best solution is to create multiple 'constellations' -- GoThru calls them levels, Panoskin calls them islands. Previously, with Google Busines View, you could safely overlay the floors and connect them without someone jumping between floors on accident (generally). I'm not sure if overlapping levels/islands will cause issues - so the best course of action might be to incorrectly place the 2nd and 3rd floors on the map. I have not published a multi-floor tour with the new API and new system -- but I will share the method that I would try: Here's an aribtrary example of a tour that is correctly positioned. Assuming a 2nd and 3rd floor existed, I would proportionately resize each floor and place them equally on the map location: GoThru and PanoSkin allow users to EDIT their tours (something GSV Business View did not unless you asked support to unpublish and import back to Business View) -- so when multi-floor is available, you could go back to edit your tour and reposition and link! -- I am very skeptical that overlaying multiple layers will work properly under the current system, but I'm happy to know that one could try without too much risk thanks to editing. |

@Metroplex360 I am using panoskin and islands it however did not connect the floors. I connected them in The street view app which then skews the view of the connection moving the arrows in the wrong directions.

Quite confused, can Matterport camera & Matterport "Capture" app achieve the Multiple-Floor in GSV? Especially, when there is no straight line-of-sight connection between the floors? Obviously, Matterport capture app cannot scan multiple floors without a line-of-sight connection, 1.should i Matterport a few floors as separate apartments and combine them somehow somewhere? 2.Should i use a different app to scan? I have Matterport Camera & Ricoh Z1 360 cam. 3.What software / camera should i use to archive a multiple-floor result ? (without line of sight) And do i have to pay for it monthly instalment? Thanks you! so much! |

Hi All, i havn't got an answer yet... If matterport capture app cannot scan multiple floors without a line-of-sight connection, should i use my Ricoh Z1 camera to create the google street view instead? or should i use matter-port capture app to scan separate rooms as separate locations and combine them somewhere? |
