How to help reduce Matterport poaching of your Collaborators

Hi All,

Unfortunately, Matterport apparently continues to solicit Matterport Service Provider clients that are Collaborators on your account.

Here is how to help reduce Matterport poaching of your Collaborators that I wrote two years ago based on a suggestion by WGAN Forum Member @JohnBecker four years ago (here)!

Do NOT invite Collaborators using their email address. Instead, set up the following email accounts:

1. Guest1@[your domain].com – you set up as a Collaborator. You then give this sign-in to your client.
2. Guest2@[your domain].com
3. Guest3@[your domain].com

You can control which email address (Collaborator) has access to which Folder(s) in your Cloud Account.

1 Passwords are all different. Keep a spreadsheet. Some may be temporary. Recycle by changing the password.
2. Setting up Matterport Collaborators is a cumbersome process (at best); the above solves this puzzle
3. While Matterport says they do not use the Collaborator account to prospect, the above solves this potential challenge.

Since a Matterport Collaborator needs a Matterport account, they can see Matterport Capture Services in two places (as shown in the screen grab above):

1. Menu at the top: see Capture Services icon
2. Box on the right: See headline: Matterport Capture Services now available in selected regions
