Will use of Cortex allow for .OBJ file?14484

We've got a job coming up where the client wants the .OBJ file but there's going to be a lot of outside areas. If we take 360's and convert them to 3D via cortex, will we still be able to get an .OBJ file, or do you have to do it as a 3D scan to begin with?

I'm also looking into renting a BLK360, but haven't found one available yet (I'm in Canada).

Hi @Queen-City-3D
I’m fascinated to see what emerges from your post.
Facing a series of shoots with potential conversion requirements I did some experiments recently.
Sadly they did not go well, with the exterior conversions placing themselves randomly within the indoor 3D tour.
Luckily on the day all the exterior 3D shoots went well so I’m not dependent on conversions.

During your experiments when you did the conversion did they show up in the right place on the iPad and then were showing up randomly after model was processed, or was it showing up randomly right from the get-go on the Capture App?

Random from the outset

I tried placing them on another floor at one point in the hope it would help keep them together and ‘outside’ but to no avail.
