HI Guys, I'm planing a Church Tour. It's not huge as Dan's one on the forum . It's like a Townhouse (3 family house converted as church ) 20x100 lot . Any tips for scanning inside ? Light will be a problem (Is not well lit and has high ceillings ~ 20FT in some parts and takes 2floors Last floor is occupied so will be only the church inside. I'm using 360 cam Z1 and thinking to add some light on the monopod but the height... not sure if you can capture it and do a doll house ? Also is it possible to add the tour in GSV via MP account , like a business ? TY |

Should not be a problem. I scanned a mid-size church with no issues in GSV. Dollhouse is wonky, but the tour works fine. This was done to put them on GSV. Feel free to look and see. https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=7e2oAc3sGJi On Google @29.6837476,-95.2442539,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x864097e189819641:0xffcb0406e4e5286b!8m2!3d29.683743!4d-95.2420599" target="_blank">https://www.google.com/maps/place/Forest+Oaks+Baptist+Church/@29.6837476,-95.2442539,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4!1s0x864097e189819641:0xffcb0406e4e5286b!8m2!3d29.683743!4d-95.2420599 Might help to see the MP Model and the GSV to understand how they correllate. There are probably way more scans than needed for GSV. Only thing I did was raise the tripod as high as it goes in the main Sanctuary. Came out great. Shooting with a Pro2 camera. |

@Atriux The church can be added to Street view via Matterport With the Z1 I would overshoot (more scan positions) and pay really close attention to any misalignments. Delete misaligned scans immediately then rescan closer to the last successful scan position. With the 360 cams (even the Z1) there isn't any real 3D data and the models can be prone to twisting and or pancaking where 2 or more floors get sandwiched together This was a church I had done with the Pro2: |

I would also scan the space progressively as opposed to linearly if I did it again. The camera had alignment challenges with the pews. So just imagine a video game where you "discover" the map. The camera does the same thing. It seems like alignment challenges come in when you scan the perimeter and come back to fill in the details on large spaces. |
