Custom Floor Names1018

sshannon private msg quote post Address this user
Just got my Matterport and had two client jobs today with basements (my first). On each one, I scanned the main floor (Floor 1) first, then the second floor (Floor 2), and then the basement, which I named "Basement" since the app gave me the option to name it whatever I wanted.

Came home and uploaded the scans. Now I'm in my.matterport.com looking at them and it's all messed up. The basement is labeled Floor 1, 1st floor is labeled Floor 2, and the 2nd floor is labeled Floor 3.

Is this normal or did I do something wrong?

Does it automatically name the floors starting at the lowest elevation?

Is there any way to rename them after upload and have it stick?

Thanks,
-Sean

That's normal
What you name it is just for you. The processed model will just have floors

I find this very annoying as well, as it would be so much more informative to have these own floor names visible.

It's possible to change the names of the floors in Workshop Classic by just clicking on the floor name in the list of scans and typing a new name in. I tried doing the same in in the new version of Workshop and couldn't. Perhaps there's another way to do it in the new Workshop?
