Hi All,

From this related WGAN Forum discussion:

1. Does anyone have a fix?
2. Has anyone researched this question?
3. What solutions have you tried and failed?

I agree with @PropertyLaunch that this is an annoying problem.

[Not all of us what to do Photoshop (or other software) to removed red dots.]

Best,

Dan

“Red dot” is a lens flare caused by the prism in one-click 360 cameras. (I’ve written about it before).

Look at it this way, you can now be just like J.J. Abrams with your overuse of lens flares. LoL

@TrustedPhotoDC

My impression is that it seems to happen more often with a Ricoh Theta camera than other 360º 1-click cameras.

Your impression (or research)?

Dan it seems to happen about 70% of the time with my images. I think there is probably a sweet spot you can align the 2 lens to the sun to eliminate. No proof just my thought process. Was going to test it but figured it was just easier to remove since i am taking out the tripod. I only use Nadir patch ever once in a while. I find them very annoying when they are on every scan.
