Nodalview Tour | By We Get Around Chief Photographer Dan Smigrod Hi All, I am always compelled to create content while traveling, so here is my Nodalview Tour of my hotel room at Inman Connect NYC 2019 at Six Columbus hotel. While the Nodalview tour is composed of just two 360ºs - one in the bedroom and one in the bathroom - I did shoot five 360ºs and hid three. If I was shooting this hotel room again, I would shoot just two 360ºs ... the extra three 360ºs where just part of the learning processing. One of the reasons that I like the Nodalview experience is that the gear required, is minimum for this trip to NYC. It easily fit in a small bag inside of my carry on ... Plus, it was super-fast to shoot: heaving me time to go to a tango class and tango dance yesterday. I also took 360ºs from the corners of the room (not displayed) and wide-angle views from the corners of the room. Later this week, I hope to post the examples so that you can compare the two. My guess is that I will be happier exporting wide-angle views from the 360ºs rather than using the wide angle shots I took. While the wide-angle views (lens change) are faster to shoot, the 360ºs likely give me more options. Questions about this Nodalview shooting? Want to take Nodalview for a spin? By the way, do you like the height that I shot at? It's such a small room, that I placed the camera height slightly above the desk. A bit lower than door knob height. (I believe) this camera height: ✓ makes the room look bigger ✓ looks better "walking around" ✓ keeps the camera out-of-view in the bathroom ✓ keeps the camera out of the reflection in the TV Your thoughts? Best, Dan |
