Although the limit for a single model is 100, there are plenty of Matterport users who have managed to take models of over 200 scans. I was wondering what the limits are on this? I found a video that appears to show around 500 scans (yes, 500!) but I can't seem to find a showcase that large. Does anyone have examples of very large areas (300+) they could share? https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=4wz79L4PYyH https://vimeo.com/140450417 |

First of all, the limit for a single model is 200 not 100 scans. Beyond that, Matterport can't guarantee that it will process right. But I'm willing to bet you could go well beyond 200 if the space isn't multiple levels. It won't be that fast though. There are other threads in this forum about large models and techniques to capture them. |

Also, I checked out the Boblo Boat. The model needs to be thinned out. There are a lot of unnecessary scans. You could definitely disable at least a third of the scans to make it easier to navigate and to make the overall model load faster. |

Here is one we did of a shopping mall. After 200 scans camara starts acting up and it took matterport almost a week to process this model. https://my.matterport.com/show/?m=V6EzFgxiRRx Based on this we are avoiding doing big models. |
