How much heat can a Matterport Camera handle4813

A client of mine wants to make a virtual tour of his facilities. Some areas of the company have big machinery where temperature can get to 122º to 140º Fahrenheit (50 to 60 Degrees Celsius). Does anyone know if the Matterport camera can resist these temperatures.

@Scannen

The operating temperature for the Matterport Pro1 and Pro2 Cameras is: 50º to 90º F (10 to 32° C), according to the Matterport Camera Specs.

I would risk the camera for this job, unless the client buys you a new camera. Even if it did work, I would wonder if this job reduced the life of my camera.

I wonder if there is an overheat shutoff, something that would trigger before it reached damaging temps. Maybe in 9 months when Pro 3 comes out!

@StevenHattan

Ha! Good catch. I would NOT risk the Camera. (Nor do I want to personally scan in those conditions.)

This is a good idea for a firmware update for both the Pro1 and Pro2.
