360º Video: NavVis CEO and Co-Founder Dr. Felix Reinshagen
speaks about the NavVis M3 Trolley Indoor Mapping Performance with We Get Around Network Forum Founder Dan Smigrod at SPAR 3D Expo & Conference (3-5 April 2017) in Houston, Texas.

----

Hi All,

If you are thinking about scanning 100,000 warehouse, mall or large, multi-floor office, you'll want to learn more about the NaVVis M3 Trolley Indoor Mapping Performance.

NavVis CEO and Co-Founder Dr. Felix Reinshagen
chatted with me about the NaVVis M3 Trolley at the SPAR 3D Expo & Conference (3-5 April 2017) in Houston, Texas.

On Friday, 14 April 2017, I will get to take the NavVis Trolley for a test drive at the We Get Around office at Atlanta Tech Village.

I will do my best to capture as much as much of the 103,000 sq ft + rooftop lounge and gym and mailroom on the basement level in a couple of hours.

I will report back to you on my test drive the week of 17 April 2017.

Best,

Dan

P.S. I am thankful for the We Get Around Network Forum Member that arranged for my introduction to the team attending SPAR 3D and for the test-drive Friday.

Hi Dan
Thanks for Sharing the video. Do you by any chance know the price for the Trolley?

@Naz

The NavVis Sales Team asked me not to disclose pricing.

That said, they did say it was okay to share that they lease the camera and that you likely need to do 1-3 scanning DAYS per month to justify the lease. It could very easily be the case that one project per month covers all of those days, depending on the size of the space. Many of NavVis industrial customers, for instance, are several day scans with a single NavVis M3 trolley, as are office buildings that need all the offices/ cubicles scanned, etc.

--

I could imagine engaging a NavVis Pro before actually doing a long term lease. (See if you can make sales before leasing.)

Best,

Dan

Great news. I´m happy you have met Felix in person.
Additionally to the trolley you also need a Laptop with Ubuntu for the final processing and a special server (also Ubuntu) for the hosting of the "indoor viewer". Of course NavVis or their Partners can provide a hosting platform.
