Scan points accessible on other floors.3762

Anyone else here been having issues with their Matterport? We have it where you can see and access the points from a different floor. If you check out this image, you can see 3 tiny versions of the scan points on the black chair.

Is this a bug? The firmware was recently updated on the camera too.

Hi Walkintour

This is a typical problem with the camera as it's seeing IR from the sun shining on the floor surface and creates holes where you can see the SP from the floor below. This can also happen if the bright sunlight is shining on a well you can see the SP through the wall.

The best way to solve this is to make a duplicate of the model and then delete the offending SP that has the sun shinning on it. This may take several attempts to solve the problem and in each case you need to make a duplicate of the original model.In all case never delete any SP from your original model always delicate the model.

I hope the above is helpful, please let us know if you workout the problem.

@aznparkranger

Can you post a link so we can experience it and maybe help you out a little more? I agree with @GarySynder that it is probably the sun. Was the windows/mirrors marked correctly? Have you tried trimming it? Of course, make a copy before you change it too much.
