Missing entire spaces3727

Sandiemcr private msg quote post Address this user
In the middle of shooting cathedral and suddenly half way down aisle we scan it aligns but places scan in entirely different location. As we continue we discover entire sections of the church are missing. We had scanned it but now it's no longer there. Thoughts?

Yeah this is common when you are Scanning something that has limited texture or a similar texture as a previous scan. It gets confused about where to put each scan.
I did see a matterport "how to scan large spaces" on here recently with tips on what to do. We had this issue a few years ago and sent our fixes to them.
Basically you need to put items in the scan that help it realise where it is

@Sandiemcr

1. Delete the scan in the wrong location
2. If you put the tripod lowest height, you should be able to complete the space successfully
3. Go back and scan at normal height
4. Disable the low scans in workshop
