Hello, This is my first post here and I need your help, we have a client want to scan a shopping mall (90000 square meter) using Matterpot, is that possible? ✓ the mall is working and full of stores. ✓all the scans are outside the stores and in the public spaces. we will do the scans when the mall is closed, so no people. ✓the client wants to have the mall in 3D model and floor plan. This might be my first scan best regards Abdullah |

Way to big for 1 model You would need to break it up into many different scans and spend 3 months there doing it. If there are people inside the mall then you are going to have big issues doing it. |

At 90,000 sq meters (810,000 sq ft), you will not be able to do as one model (in all probability). You should probably look to break the project into different models. You should also consult the guide "Scanning Large Spaces" for some tips on how to get alignment with maximum distances between scans. See: https://support.matterport.com/hc/en-us/articles/235469007-Scanning-Large-Spaces-Connecting-with-Mattertag-Posts Perhaps some of our other members with big scan experiences could comment. |
