Pure luxury in 3D. Nice opportunity to experience it. Thanks!

Excellent work @Olivius - did the open space of the ocean cause any problems with the camera finding reference points? If so, how did you overcome those problems?

Also, on the top deck I noticed that the background has switched 180 degrees when you move from one side of the boat to the other. Understandable for a boat with a single anchor, but how did the camera cope with a fixed foreground and a completely different background from scan to scan? Very interested to hear your experience with this...

This scan was really hard. the owner wanter the outside done then we have waited for the perfect day and all the outside was done in arround 1h30 with the boat moving (no anchor) that's why you can see outside are never in the same orientation... as you know temperature matter then have to wait 30 minutes without sunlight to start scanning.

the backround moving is not an issue for the camera as it use mainly the infrared laser point to build the 3D space.

And the other hard part is the aligment as everthing is moving you have to find another reference to be perfectly straight.

That sounds really tricky so congratulations on your hard work. Hats off to you and hats off to the camera, I had no idea it could work in those conditions.

Thats awesome! I would have been worried with the movement of the boat the camera might have fallen over!
