MatterPort OBJ - SolidWorks2903

LRA private msg quote post Address this user
Hey all,

I need some info on compatibility to SolidWorks.

I know OBJ are capable of being imported, but has anyone does this before?
My program keeps crashing and will not load the file correctly.

It has worked within 3DMAX which I may be able to export and then import to SW, but it's a bit of messing around.

Any info would be great!

Cheers, lewis.

I've had this issue with large models. Textures might be too heavy for SolidWorks. If you wish I can simplify them for you to retry, PM me if you want to send me the file.

@LRA

I could imagine that the Matterport Object File (.obj) is too large to manipulate.

You may want to convert the .obj to a file format that is manageable.

Any of these Matterport .obj conversions by Veriscian ( @JoshReadhead ) helpful?

Best,

Dan
