@DouglasMeyers Are you asking about the firmware upgrade or the Capture app or the Matterport 3D Showacase app? Dan |

Capture App 2.2 is the latest release. Check Settings then About.

@DouglasMeyers I thinks 1.1.414 is the camera firmware. 2.2 is the App version. Same issues of confusion when we deal with DJI drones. The software controlling the drone as a version number, vs the actual hardware firmware version number. |

Firmware fixes and "uncommon issue" of misaligned objects. Hur Hur. Anyways, anyone updated the firmware and got less / no more such issues pls post here. I usually dont like to update firmware if things are 'more or less ok'. In case the new firmware introduces new problems. |

I've performed 2 scans since updating firmware with no issues. I can't comment on alignment issues.

BTW - It's the previous firmware upgrade that unlocked '2k' quality scans in the camera. My question is ... if our cameras are now 'secretly' shooting at higher quality, doesn't that mean that more data is being generated? And if so, doesn't that means that the length of time for each scan to transfer to our iPads has increased? I am running an iPad4, so I'm at the bottom of the totem for speed. The last scan I did --seemed-- marginally slower in transfers. What do you guys think? Summary: 1. The new firmware unlocked higher quality image capture. 2. The new firmware increased transfer time marginally. |

Yesterday I scanned. And did not understand why so long is the transfer on the iPad. So that's the reason. I think the quality is better.

I am no hardware expert, but was wondering... isnt the bad stitching an issue with the BACKEND MP servers/hardware/software which does the stitching, and shouldnt have to do with the firmware of the camera?
