| Looking to include 4K 360º video as an optional service. My only issue with multi cam video rigs are "all" seem to be plagued with stitching errors - albiet some very minor. We are looking to single lens 4K 360 cameras but the concern here is large nadir. In real estate not being able to see the floor directly beneath you would be a trade off to superior 4K stitch line free video. You can see still the floor few feet in front you. You could also then hide under rig while doing room by room walkthrough. Anyone else doing this? |

| Hi Bill, Keep in mind that the 4K 360 video quality is not as good as seeing a 4K video on a 4k monitor. The 4K is distributed between 360 degrees, rather than a standard 16:9 video capture and viewing rectangle. The latest consumer 4K 360 video camera is the gear 360. It has great auto stitching software, albeit not perfect. If you place the camera on a tripod, you can see the legs though. Also, I would say that 360 video is cool, but kinda tricky in smaller places like houses. I say this because if someone is walking with the camera through the house, it's not enough time for the user to see different points of the home in the 360 space while the camera is moving. Not sure if that makes sense. Watching moving 360 video where the camera is moving with google cardboard or gear vr is nauseating. But it's an awesome experience when the camera is in one place and someone is pointing things out, almost like presenting about it. There, the user can move their phone to look or swipe their screen to see what the presenter is talking about. Just my 2 cents. |

| Thanks Carlos - you're absolutely right about the 4K and aspect ratios. This is an emerging technology and good to see some major players like Nikon, Samsung, LG, Kodak etc getting into the game. People will always be demanding of better and better image quality. For the time being we are left trying find the best user friendly low cost solution. We have one high profile client requesting this so we're sourcing solutions. We have the GoPro rigs on Freedom360 mounts, Giroptic and Theta S. The GoPro rigs produce best results so far but not a fan of the parallax issues. | ||
