A Matterport employee emailed me today (24 April 2025) with the following: As long time partners, Matterport is working closely with Insta360 to bring full compatibility with the Insta360 X4 and X5 cameras to the Matterport platform in 2025. From smartphones to 360 cameras, Matterport remains committed to making 3D capture more accessible and efficient across various devices. By combining Matterport’s industry leading digital twin technology with the powerful imaging capabilities of Insta360’s latest X-series cameras, users can soon use the full range of Insta360 cameras on the Matterport platform. Compatible 360 cameras are updated on Matterport.com here. Additionally, on the Matterport Support page (here) was updated 22 April 2025 -- the day the Insta360 X5 was announced -- with this: We plan to support the Insta360 X4 and X5; however, at this time we don't have an official release date to share. Our product team is dedicated to ensuring that support for the Insta360 X4 and X5 meets our high standards of quality and reliability. As soon as we have a confirmed release date, we'll make an announcement and provide further details. According to the Matterport Support site (as of 24 April 2025), the following Insta360 cameras are presently supported by Matterport: 1. Insta360 X3 2. Insta360 ONE RS 1 Include 3. Insta360 ONE RS 4.
