What is the secret to put a 360 view where you want it in a Matterport model?!? It used to be a lot easier and more intuitive. I don't do it all that often but lately I've been struggling to even place a 360 scan let alone put in the correct spot or on the correct floor level that I want it to go. Today when I try to drag them over from the 360 panel to the Matterport model in Edit mode the 360 doesn't even show up. So frustrating! [To be clear, I've got exterior 360 sweeps, such as view from deck, view of front yard, etc., which I'm trying to place the icons on doors or other spots for it to show up in the model and I'm failing badly at getting them placed]. It's not an option to place them in the app because it was a model that someone else scanned that was transferred to me, so I have to place them in the workshop/edit. |

UPDATE: I did finally get the 360s placed where I wanted but had to exit EDIT mode and basically leave the model and then come back in for it to eventually get one to go where I wanted it to, and then I had to leave and come back to place each additional one. Super frustrating but I got them placed. | ||

I noticed it did not work about 2-3 months ago and reported it to Matterport about 6 weeks ago. However I was reporting this problem and bigger problems with their trim tool. The 360s were not that critical for me while broken trim tool was so going through communication with Matterport the 360 problems faded away in out communication and we stayed only on the trim tool problems. They fixed it even though it was "not our fault" for the first 3 emails until they admitted it's their problems and fixed it. Somebody needs to report 360 placement problems as they are there. Matterport won't do anything until reported. |
