Scheduled Matterport Hosting Periods?20765

I suppose this is a request to MP, but why can't each model have a scheduled time factor associated with it?

How do you guys handle this? If I ask a client to pay a monthly or annual fee to cover hosting costs, I would like to simply be able to plug that end date in, perhaps get a warning a week out, and then have that project auto-archive on the date set.

Currently, I just enter those dates on my work calendar, but it gets a bit messy if I forget to. Then I have to go back to the agreements, calculate what was decided on, blah blah blah.

I am genuinely curious about how you guys deal with limited time-based hosting fees. A lot of my projects (doing film locations, for instance) are only needed for a few months.

Thanks!
Todd

@DigitalTwin I try to keep my hosting as simple possible. I bill everybody either January 1, or July 1st. I used to do it like you and spent more time figuring out anniversary billing dates. Now dates are all the same I just go in check the bill and most are the same there are a few that are different but the majority are the same. I allow them to choose 6 month hosting $60 or 1 year at $100.

If I shot a home today they are billed July 1, if the model is still needed. Or it’s a long term agent then I may let slide till next year.

That’s my model, hopefully that helps.

@ron0987 Thanks! That would simplify things. I'll have to think about it. For me, I might need to break it into quarters, but that's a great idea to just have set dates to bill by.

I put 3D tours in folders with such names that have their expiration dates for hosting. Something like "Client X, expires on 01.06.25" Since I usually go to workshop everyday I can see which client tours need to be updated with a paid hosting.
