It has been a while since I have uploaded to Google Street View, thru Matterport, Realsee or 3DVista. Has anyone been doing so, I just got a request to do a parking lot and was just checking before I commit. I know I will not get the blue line from photo to photo, but will the 360 droplets appear in the correct location. Since the Google Street View app is no longer available is our old login still the same thru MP, Realsee and 3DVista?

Google has transitioned to streetview studio ~ I use the Theta X to add new phases to neighborhoods ~ I have noticed that the streetview for businesses you have to actually click into the business profile to see those 360’s these days

I’ve noticed that the quality of the connections from spot to spot have improved with Matterport uploads to GSV. But you still can’t get a direct connection with the street blue lines from Matterport (like you occasionally used to get pre 2020). I usually upload from Matterport then use Gothru to edit the tour if necessary (+100 USD). As far as adding blue lines to the street goes I am trying for the first time at the moment with an insta 360 set to video at 30fps connected to the phone when recording (a must as without the phone there is no GPS data so it won’t upload). |

Interesting discussion. I'm going to try some of these suggestions. Recently I've done some GSV work using GoThru for businesses interiors. Works well. I've been told that the capturing still 360s for blue line, your path needs to be at least 25 panos. But I've also been told it's more dependable to capture 360 video instead of still panos when aiming for "blue line" treatment. Thanks for this discussion. I have some clients interested so trying to learn more myself. |

I just uploaded a video I made last week using this method and it is processing now. Note you will need the .gpx file with most cameras. I made the mistake of not pairing my camera with my phone a month ago so there was no gps information to attach the the video. The upload I just made was the retake using an insta360 bluetooth connected to a gps receiver. |

Ricoh's Theta X has built-in GPS you just need to make sure the camera has acquired signal prior to recording the video this can take a moment or two.
