Just received this email from Zillow. Get excited - coming soon to Zillow 3D Home®: the floor plan setup shot will no longer be needed, enabling an easier and faster capture experience. This means: No floor plan setup shot will be needed No need to carry around floor plan marker or mouse pad when capturing tours No more tour rejections from incorrect or missing floor plan setups The rest of the capture process will remain the same, and there is nothing you will need to do ahead of this update. Over the next few weeks, we will be gradually rolling out this update to all of our users. You will receive a reminder email when this change goes into effect. Until then, please continue to follow our existing guidelines in our capture guide. Please reach out to us at 3dhome@zillowgroup.com with any questions. — The 3D Home team |

I wonder where they will be getting the proportional dimensions needed to do floor plan scaling? Perhaps another use of AI?? KF |

But many do use the phones for the regular 3D Home with no floor plan. They don’t look great, but they are done. I’m betting they are using AI to compare distances to sizes of standard things you would find in a room. |

What would really be great is simply if Zillow 3D Home tours looked better. Color, exposure, detail. Let me reiterate that 3D Home has no connection with us, Home3D.us, However, many years ago I often traded emails with one of their founding media team, so maybe our Home3D was where they got the idea to call theirs 3D Home, which as we know, has nothing "3D" whatsoever about it. |

@Home3D They must have gotten the name from you - they don’t even realize that what they have is a 360 tour and not a 3D tour. But hey, why not co-opt a name? (Sarcasm) Keitj |
