I wouldn't be worried to be honest. Extracted photos are average at best, floor plans are "you get what you pay for" and the video isn't anything. This is simply catering for the 99c realtors. And to be honest, who wants them anyway. Focus on quality at a respectable price.

I always refer the the images that can be pulled from a Matterport tour as Emergency images in the result that something may have been accidentally missed.

I suspect even though they say they have specialists hand selecting images that this will likely be the same auto generated imagery we have now. Even with offshore labor I do not believe Matterport could keep up with the demand of a Real Estate office or brokerage.

Also, as mentioned above and in the video Image quality just doesn't compare to traditional stills. I have seen some photographers trying to offer these as passable images to clients and the results always look amateurish at best.

Last I had saw this was when they were selling Scan Services to brokerages in which the pitch was Agents had access to unlimited images from the Matterport tour leaving out that the agent or brokerage would need to actually take these snapshots in the tour themselves ~ I do not believe this new program will be much different overall.

I also do not believe they have enough Scan Services specialists in each market to fulfill brokerage needs. The #'s didn't pencil when I looked over the contract and you couldn't offer any other services, I didn't see any up side. Mileage wasn't a consideration in the early days (this may have changed) and if the client wasn't happy with the tour you had to go back and reshoot the tour at no additional cost which I would gladly do for any of my current clients however the Scan Services payout you'd be loosing money if you had to reshoot anything

You know exactly how the floor plan is going to go. "We need to have an addition to our home. We already have a floor plan." A few months later, "We have $25,000 in change orders."

This offering is a typical VHT thing. They charge top dollar for below average to average quality.

With a Pro3 you can get some pretty damn nice image files, if the house bright and evenly lit and the sun isn't too bright outside. On the wrong house, they can be pretty scary looking.
How are they going to address that, I wonder?

😂😂😂 why are you all so worried?

Matterport has been failing at everything they are doing so far. They lost the plot and focus on creating and upgrading the software, they take months or years just to improve their UX/UI. They lost focus on their software and focused more on camera sales, hosting, and how to screw over the MSP's.

One MSP contacted me and said the amount of outrage on their secret closed Facebook Group that the public cant see. How people are canceling their orders on the PRO3.

Wonder when we will hear what happened with the court case and why they settled.

Give a man enough rope...

Ditto to this. I just shot a beautifully staged and well lit property with my Pro3 and the photos that Matterport returned were spectacular. I even used a few in addition with professionally edited HDR photos and they fit seamlessly. An expert could probably pick out which one it was, but 99% of Zillow users will not. Relative to horrible quality pictures I see on a lot of listings, the Pro3 can do a great job with still photos if the property is set up to look good.

Again- with the right property, Matterport stills can be quite good.
On the wrong property, they are well below anything I can put my name on.

So- it's inconsistent, and inconsistent makes for angry customers.

No idea why that needed to restated as if someone doubted your original point

I'm curious if you contacted them about the missed bathroom. Did you call them and tell them about it? Did they offer to come back and scan the bathroom and update the tour? Credit for the missed space?
