For Matterport Cloud account customers that have a Matterport Classic Pricing account, when adding a Matterport New Pricing account - to use a Matterport Pro3 Camera for example - set up a NEW/Additional Matterport Cloud account with a DIFFERENT email address to keep the accounts - old pricing / new pricing - separate. | Just an FYI for anyone using gmail accounts... there is a cool hack that not too many people know about. Let's say your email address was 3Dscanner@gmail.com ... you have infinite variations that will still go to your email if you add a "+" sign after the first part of your email. For example, 3Dscanner@gmail.com = 3Dscanner+Pro3@gmail.com = 3DScanner+Assistant@gmail.com etc. etc. etc.... All will show up in your gmail account, but sites such as Matterport should treat them separately so you wouldn't have to create a new gmail account for a new Matterport hosting account, just add a variation to the one you have. (To be clear, you would still have to set up a separate Matterport account for the email variation if you need to create separate hosting accounts.) The variation can also be one with dots too I believe. For example, 3Dscanner@gmail.com = 3D.scanner@gmail.com here's a source page: https://gmail.googleblog.com/2008/03/2-hidden-ways-to-get-more-from-your.html This is true to the best of my knowledge based on some experimentation a few years back. If this no longer works please let me know. Also this might be true for other email service providers other than gmail, but I'm not sure of that. |
