Hey all,

Just wondering if you've noticed any bottlenecks in your Matterport workflow?

Is there something that takes more time that should or a process that could be simplified or sped up?

Would love to hear your feedback!

Good question, thanks for asking.

For us a big bottleneck is editing the space before delivering it to the client. All we need to do is set the start location and "turn off" some of the scan points. But we have to wait for processing to finish before we can that.

We'd really prefer to set the start location and disable scan points from within the Capture app, while on site. It would make project turnaround much faster in a lot of cases. (We're not often available to edit things right when they're done processing.)

For the turning off of scan points, it's also a communication bottleneck. If person A does the shoot on site they know right away which ones need to be turned off. But if person B does the editing online later, they need to walk through the virtual space and make those assessments all over again. (checking for low scan points or points that are clustered too close together).

For more complex projects, we've had person A note which ones need to be turned off, and they email that to person B. It would be easier if they could just do it themselves.

Wow, yes! Well said. I think the ability to make quick edits like that inside of the capture app would be a game changer. @fathom3D, do you mainly service clients in the real estate industry, or elsewhere?
