Here is a checklist I have been working on to make sure all scans turn out equal. Please feel free to use this checklist but also any suggestions for adding to it would be great.

Great list!
I would add as reminders for the list / to dos -
_ Budget out scans per floor

to track how large the upload will be and gauge the number of panos. Example large property with three floors - 60 per floor. Thus if finishing a large first floor that results in 48 scans, it helps ease the mind that the scan will not be large, so focus can be on leveling and capturing each shot.

- iPad and Matterport fully charged night before
- check tripod legs that they tight and proper height
- remove all pet dishes and bowls
- hide trash cans
- chop / fluff pillows
- level every shot especially on carpet
- check list of every room (reminder not to overlook or forget a room)
- be professional and business like as hidden security cameras may be active

It's good to have a checklist for yourself and one for your clients.

This is the "Preparation Checklist" we ask the agents to send to their home sellers for real estate scans [this way we are not the ones to touch the toilet seat lids!!!]. (I think someone on this forum shared their list with me several months ago which I slightly adapted, so props to whoever that was):
------------------------------------------------------------
Images are a very important aspect of marketing and selling your home. Photos and 3D scans are typically the first impression that a buyer has when considering your home. Make it count and take the time to prepare your home and you can help our image experts create visuals of your home that help sell by following the tips below.

Please have the home ready upon arrival of the photographer

EXTERIOR
□ Move vehicles from the driveway and park away from the front of the home. Move vehicles outside of garage if you wish to include this in listing images.
□ Place garbage bins and anything that is not attached to the home out of site.
□ Remove or coil garden hoses neatly.
□ Remove any toys or pet related items from yard.
□ Remove seasonal décor.
□ Straighten deck furniture.
□ Cut the grass and remove all weeds from cracks in concrete and generally tidy the area.

GENERAL
□ Turn all inside lights on, including lamps, under counter lights and stove lights and replace any burned out bulbs.
□ If blinds are down, ensure they are equally angled to match other blinds in room.
□ Conceal cords. Unplug them from the wall if needed (except lights).
□ Turn all ceiling fans off. They will create motion blur in your listing images.
□ Turn all televisions off.
□ Remove small rugs from floors, especially from tile or wood floors.
□ Remove all family photos (they will create a distraction that can lose the buyers focus).
□ Make beds and close closets. If you want to showcase a closet, let the photographer know.
□ Remove all evidence of pets, food dishes, toys, cages and litter boxes.
□ No shoes by doors or anywhere.
□ Remove all religious materials (crosses, photos and statues).
□ Store all removed items in the garage (if not being photographed) or in closets or cabinets.

KITCHEN
□ Clear all counter tops. No dish rags or towels, soaps, knives or cutting boards. It’s okay to leave a few small appliances for size perception.
□ Remove dish drying racks and dishes from the sink.
□ Clear all sides of the refrigerator completely of any magnets, pictures or lists.
□ Remove any calendars. Calendars make listing dated if it goes over 30 days.
□ Remove trash can.

BATHROOM
□ Clear the counter from absolutely every item considered to be personal.
□ Remove toilet cleaning brushes, toilet plungers and trash cans.
□ Remove shampoo and conditioner bottles and personal items from the shower and tub area.
□ Close the toilet lids.
□ Remove all floor mats.
□ Ensure towels are clean and neatly hung.

PLEASE ENSURE THERE ARE LIMITED PEOPLE AND NO PETS WITHIN THE AREAS BEING SCANNED. 3D SCANNING REQUIRES A CLEAR ROOM AND ADDITIONAL TIME AND COSTS MAY BE INCURRED BY DELAYS.

For reference, here's a thread I started a while ago. I'll be comparing the above to my notes to build a master list. Thanks for all the suggestions!
