Hi. I just got the matter port. I know how to use the equipment but for some reason the software won't align any 2 images. I've changed lighting, rooms...nothing is moving in the rooms or changed. I've also marked the windows and any mirrors. Please help! Using iPad mini

How far apart are you attempting your scans?

Here are some things that could cause this: - direct sunlight hitting the camera - loose, wobbly tripod head - camera too far out of level - scans too far apart - unmarked mirrors & windows (not sure about this one) |

I like what @pmjacoby and @queen_city_3d mentioned. I recently had a job where I had intense issues with direct and reflected sunlight that threw off every scan. I pulled back into a controlled area I knew would work and scanned my way back to where I was until it wasn't possible to scan any longer. (no alignment) Always check to make sure you're level. At least it's a quick easy fix if that's it. But, my vote is it's probably sunlight or your scans are too far apart. Start at the simplest level. Do 1 scan of a controlled environment, move it 4 or so feet over and try another. I test scan my living room ever so often just to make sure before I go out on a job, everything is charged and in working order. Second to last resort, restart everything. Last resort would be Matterport Support - support.matterport.com or the hotline 650.437.6159 Good luck! |

An ipad mini first version? Will not work. I ran into the same thing. Got an ipad mini 3 and haven't had a problem since.
