MatterportRicoh Theta Z1Wifi

Unable to join the network... MP and Theta Z114666

sdubose99 private msg quote post Address this user
Matterport using Ricoh Theta Z1, I've been getting "Unable to join the network" messages at power-up. I've done the "forget network" thing, and re-connect via WiFi. Sometimes it take several attempts.
Anyone know why this is happening, and what I should change to make connections fast and accurate again?

I sold a Z1 few months ago but I remember there is an Access Point mode in the camera settings. If you turn it on through theta app, set up SSID name and a password the camera will act as a wireless router. Then you can connect directly to the camera from a tablet/phone without using any other wireless network.

Here is a video about doing it in Theta V but since the app is the same it will work for a Z1

Just remember Theta wireless range is awful in all their cameras. It usually stops working from 5-7m distance even with a direct line of sight.
