How to Make Money Idea of the Week --- Matterport Digital Twin courtesy of VirtourNYC Director Noam Benamy (@Virtour). Please see Single Property Website triggered by the QR Code. Screen Grab; VirtourNYC Director Noam Benamy on his LinkedIn page Idea of the Week for Commercial Real Estate: QR Code in Window Signage to 3D Tour Property Listing Hi All, Problem/Opportunity Meets WGAN Forum How to Make Money Idea of the Week. "It's upsetting to walk around NYC and see so many retail vacancies, especially where local/small businesses had stood, writes VirtourNYC (@Virtour) Director Noam Benamy on his LinkedIn page. "In most cases, the windows are covered with oversized "For Lease" signs featuring the listing broker's names and a phone number to call. Why does the street-level marketing stop there? Noam continues: Why not include a #QRcode that links to photos, floorplans, or in the best case, a virtual tour of the space? Why not include a form on that same landing page for folks to easily reach out to with questions/interest? Why not track how many people are "viewing" your space without making a phone call? We're rolling out this concept on one of our subleases and hope that it becomes much more widespread across the industry. Why? Because removing unnecessary friction and creating a more efficient client experience should be a priority for all businesses - and commercial real estate is no exception. --- The QR Code (above) points to this Single Property Website (created with WP3D Models WordPress Plugin). Note the inclusion of multiple Matterport Digital Twins (for each floor) and the floor plans. --- What are your thoughts about turning Commercial Real Estate for Sale/Lease Signage into Single Property Websites featuring a 24/7 Open House Virtual Tour? Best, Dan |

Thanks for sharing @DanSmigrod. There's an enormous use-case for this across many industries - real estate happens to be one that can take advantage of this immediately. @Noddy - to touch on your point of including a QR code in your email signature.. QR codes bring the most value when presented to people in-person, as the goal of the QR code is to encourage the viewer to scan it with their phone. If you're already on a computer/phone, it is usually easier to just click on a link. As an example, many restaurants in NYC have begun placing QR codes on their tables and when folks sit down to eat, they can scan the QR code and a menu pops up (contactless experience). These same QR codes are often not found on the restaurant's website - with the thought that once you're on the website, you can click to view the menu there. So if going through the process of creating these codes, it's always worth answering the questions: does this create a more streamlined process for prospects/clients and is it reducing any unnecessary friction? Hope this makes sense and helps! |

I've been providing clients with a QR code for each project involving any form of virtual tour for a couple years now. I use a simple chrome plug-in called Offline QR Code Generator which adds an easy widget to Chrome's top line. Extremely quick and simple to use. From this, I make the attached graphic the client can use however they wish on printed flyers, sign riders, etc. |

@Home3d Super cool and such a nice little add-on for clients that doesn't take long and really impresses. It may not be as easily accessible or take as quick to produce, but if you wanted to really blow your clients away, customize the QR code with an image of their house in the middle Because the generic black QR codes have become pretty commonplace, a custom-colored code with a photo of the client's home in the middle always gets a nice response (in our example above we used a logo as the image). For a free (an un-editable after publishing) custom QR generator, you can try QR Code Monkey. For commercial clients, we've designed them to match the color scheme of the business and throw their logo in the middle: |
