I have a client that loves the Matterport 360° tour, but it's a large company with many locations that needs to host it locally. I can create one from scratch with Pano2VR, but I was hoping there was something less complicated with existing templates I can use for a simple show room tour with hotspots that can be hosted on the company server. Any suggestions?

I know CloudPano has the option to download their tours for self hosting ~ but, you’ll have to assemble the panos together into a tour

@jbsmoore Welcome to the WGAN Forum. Thank you for your post. While others might have a suggestion for off-line hosting of a simple tour, this WGAN curated list of 150+ 3D/360 virtual tour software/platforms might be a place to search. Best, Dan |

I dont understand why they cannot use Matterport. If they have wifi there it should work. Am I wrong?

@jbsmoore Geocv is an option - depending upon where you need the service. We can discuss.

[Scratching head] If you placed a hyperlink or you placed a i-frame code on a webpage hosted by the client, technically it's hosted on their site. You should let them know one of the benefits of using an iframe rather than self-hosting and sticking with matterport, is because matterport has invested millions of dollars to make sure that whoever requests to view the virtual tour on a myriad of different devices, maniport will make sure that the exact proper bit rate will be delivered to that device for an exceptional viewer experience. I believe there are some technical nuances that can win over the customer and simplify this process. |
