Matterport Customer Service... :(12822

Hello, what issues have you been experiencing with Matterport - Customer Service? I have been using them for three+ years, I'm a Real Estate Photographer. I recently asked them to stitch an attached garage to the main house (there was no door to pass through) for a luxury real estate property with a very good client of mine. They did not respond. A week and I contacted them four times, via phone, email and phone again, then email a 4th time over a week. Wasnt positive they received the original message as I did not receive anything back.

This morning I get an email saying they are 5-6 weeks out. So, 5-6 weeks for my very good client to get her scan completed? Seriously, VERY very BAD..

I am living with COVID 19 protocals like everyone else. But why can't Matterport keep up?

Considering using a different VT camera if they have better Customer support.

Thoughts?

Didn't know they would manually fix that problem. I'll put a request in on one of my tours that has a similar issue and get back to you on their respones.

Another route to resolving your model, for this and future scans?

on top of a 190 or 290 that's been lowered down all the way? (way more stable than the janky mini-bases, including Manfrotto's - and solid enough to clamp several lights onto if need arose)

Put an Insta360 One X link or Ricoh Theta Z1 (that homefinder3D was good enough to post a link about recently ) on top of that?

On a duplicate of the house model, scan on top of some of the scans approaching the open door from inside the house, continue out to the garage, inside the garage, might be another way to resolve this space, and be set and hassle-free for future ones as well?

I'm sure you've thought about it, just encouraging it as a solution. If you're near the bay area, happy to swing by with my 360 rig to try and fix up this model right quick.

I have received an answer from Matterport in regards to your question. Their service person emailed me [this link]. Read down a few sections and you will come across the fix. (they call it a trim sandwich)
