What's your opinion of a robotics virtual tour guide... Double Robotics has a small robot on wheels with an iPad head. You may have seen it. The applications it can be used for is uncharted. Certainly one could add a 360 video camera and I envision the robot could be remote controlled, as you would control a web cam somewhere, viewers could take turns. A virtual open house with a robotic agent that walks & talks and answers questions, gathers leads, Basically Zoom meets R2D2. What a way to cover ground, in more ways than one. This can be useful. Nobody needs to be present, except the robot and wifi. At each room or feature, the robot can zoom in and tell a story. Let me know if this is something you'd use, or how you'd improve this concept. Robots aren't going away. |

| @GETMYVR you tell a great idea, and we would like to imagine a new addon for Matterport showcase. Why not add a virtual robots within a normal Matterport showcase page, it will look like the one you mentioned in your topic. But a 3D object that be added to the Matterport showcase to be a robot guide for showcase viewers. This virtual robot can be added by Matterport SDK bundle. |
