How can I scan multi floors without scanning stairs using elevators/tags12407

| Hey all, I tried searching for this before posting. I want to scan a building (ground level and level 1) Can I skip the stairs and use the elevators with mattertags to teleport to next level ? What is the best practices or step by step to scan elevators and move to next level without wasting scans on stairs? Thanks guys Sky, |

| No you can’t skip the stairs during the scanning all spaces must be connected. But after processing you can disable the stair scans which stops people having access to them and use deep links at the lift |

| @skyload300 you can scan it as two independent models and use Mattertags to move from model to model without using the staircase. This requires processing fee for two models and also counts as two models in your account. | ||

| Hey Dan, Thanks for the link, but I know how to use deep links using the *U* button. My question was if there away to skip stairs and have both floors as one dollhouse.. I have an idea: What is I can use the elevator as a (out of the box technique)? 1- I can scan till elevator door, 2- Then inside elevator at ground floor with doors open 3- scan inside elevator at level 1 with door open. 4- use mattertags to teleport up/down Shouldn't the above box (elevator) have enough data for camera to align GF and L1 ?? What do you think ? |

| @skyload300 That might work but I would not leave the camera in the same place. For example main level do two scans in the elevator one near the front door a second near the center with doors open. Then move to the next floor leave camera in center scan one scan from the center without moving camera now on the second floor with doors open then again move camera to door of elevator but don’t exit the elevator and move out to new floor. This may work. I would still duplicate model and shoot stair case so you are safe. If the elevator trick works please post. The software should treat that no different than a staircase. |
