| In the US I think the pandemic's effect on real estate sales varied dramatically by locale. A couple of states allowed no site visits and they dropped like a rock. Most dropped a bit at least. Check Inman but I think it was 3 states that had no great negative impact. Georgia was one of those. The realtors there were quick to get an "essential services" designation for themselves which helped a lot. After that they got the state to approve "virtual notaries" which allowed closings to proceed. Seems the state by state approach was a big driver based on what I recall. What did you find in your state? |
