My name is Bach – manager at www.baezeni.com Hanoi, Vietnam. The latest year and months we get an increasing number of questions by emails from Matterport providers and as well property builders and as well many WGAN members about Matterport to BIM. We have many years of experience and service to convert Matterpack to BIM (IFC, Revit, Autodesk, and other CAD) models and will give just a small introduction about the probably best way here. Normally people think that Matterpark is not good enough for As-Built modeling and it is needed a more accurate scanner type machine. And that is the only way the model can be more detailed and accurate with LOD 300 or more. The advice we always give to our clients and partners to make it most possible accurate from a Matterport model is to add a few accurate extra Laser Distance Measurements. This can be done with a simple handheld LDM like Leica or Bosch or similar, then add 1 or more long measures to a screen capture from the Matterport model and add to the order and we will use it to check and calibrate the model for higher accuracy. In this, we prefer always to use the original.XYZ file from Matterpack, then import to the AutoDesk RECAP. And from Recap we cleaning the pointcloud and save them to .RCS file then can open by Revit. In Revit then the model can be enhanced as best as possible based on the pointcloud. Note that some qualified work and experience are helpful to make the best accurate and detailed final BIM model from Matterport. We have engineers and experts with many years’ experience since Baezeni was started in 2007 with large and smaller projects from many parts of the world. Depends on the request the BIM models can be prepared for different domain areas like Architect, Structures, or MEP. Some photo from the model: With pointcloud Without pointcloud : Then we got the full LOD 300 for model: From that we can provide the drawings : You can see more detail in the link of model : https://autode.sk/3dpETSt |
