Here at HomePlan, we've been busy rolling out and making our new Pay-Per-View service for Matterport 3D Virtual Tours even better. This service allows exhibitions, museums and tourist attractions that are dependent on the income from visitors, to have visitors attend online in return for a modest Entry Fee. In response to some questions we've received about potential applications for our PPV service, please check out today's article that considers the question - are Pay-Per-View 3D Virtual Tours a Thing? Multi-Currency Support is Coming Soon! The current version of our PPV service supports payment in USD only. We now have in development an enhancement to the paywall that will allow us to charge the entry fee and process the payment to the host in any currency. At the same time we are hoping to release the ability to purchase multiple tickets at one time. Stay tuned...this is weeks, not months away. But don't delay - as discussed in the article above, it takes an investment of time to enrich a bare 3D Virtual Tour to a level that provides virtual visitors with an experience worth paying for. Sales Tax Another common question we've been ask is the treatment of sales tax. To help manage the complexities of Sales Tax when providing digital services globally, we've partnered with a specialist provider who monitors our payment system and advises us when Sales Tax thresholds are exceeded in any region. The PPV entry fee is a payment from the end customer to HomePlan NZ Ltd. We calculate, add and incur sales tax on the transaction when appropriate for our international tax obligations. We will discuss with potential Hosts case-by-case as it can effect the final entry fee a virtual visitor will pay. The subsequent payment through to the Host is inclusive of any sales or other tax the Host may incur on the proceeds. The Host is responsible for managing their own tax obligations relating to their revenue, which we pay into their nominated Stripe account, minus our transaction fee. Remember to Visit the Old Jail Museum! The Old Jail Museum in Petone, New Zealand shows how law and order was practiced in New Zealand more than 100 years ago. The Entry Fee for this short PPV 3D Virtual Tour is just $3.99USD, for an experience that would would take you 15-25 minutes to explore - and we've given you 90 minutes, so there's plenty of time. Net funds raised go to the Jackson Street Programme, a non-profit society that maintain this heritage building. They appreciate your support. Purchase Ticket & Start Your 3D Virtual Tour! @HomePlanNZ Congratulations on the release of your Pay-Per-View 3D Virtual Tours. Would you please provide some e-ticket code here for WGAN members who interest your Pay-Per-View 3D Virtual Tours? So that they can review your Pay-Per-View page and give you feedback to improve withour pay (It is helping your system to improve). I think you need some feedback during the first release phase. Now we must pay $3.99USD to review your page, Old Jail Museum is not our interested place to go through we only want to review the technology you use and provide feedback to you. |

Quote:Originally Posted by JuMP Thanks for the congrats . Yes, one oversight in the first release was we don't have the ability to publish a 'free' PPV to demo all the functionality - this is coming in the next release. PPV e-tickets aren't designed to be shared - security protocols will kick in. We were very thankful during our beta testing phase to have more than 20 WGAN members participate and provide feedback, and though more feedback is always welcome, we're now in production mode dealing with potential customers who are actively trialling the system. It's actually very straightforward once you activate the ticket - it's Matterport or MP/embed, but with a countdown timer as shown in the screenshots. Thanks again |
