The WGAN Forum Question of the Day for Monday, 23 March 2020: Are Matterport Service Providers "essential" per USA Department of Homeland security definitions? For clarification, even if your USA location is under a Shelter-in-Place order, can you still shoot virtual tours? Dan --- This question is inspired by this email that I received today from a WGAN Member whom has been very busy shooting Matterport and Zillow 3D Tours: -- "I don't really want to go on record, but i believe that under department of Homeland security definitions, we are an essential business as part of the freelance media. Additionally, if used for building documentation, we are part of construction/infrastructure and in all cases we are providing supplies to aid people with being able to work from home." "We want to essentially pickup assets without contact with anyone else and allow businesses to continue." "We have been slammed [redacted] this past week. Virtual tours have never been more necessary. "We are also selling a lot of Zillow 3D Home. "Matterport is now more relevant because even though Zillow 3D gets more eyes, REALTORS can substitute the in person feeling with Matterport. That's a necessity now." [name redacted] |

I'm afraid not. Michigan goes on lockdown tonight at midnight I can do outside photos and drone photos but not inside. Yes, easy to skirt the rules but the more we all stay home, the faster life will get back to normal. | ||
