Not one of my clients or even not one of my friends wants to create a Matterport 3D model. They like what I do, but they will never do it themselves. This is the problem with Mr. Pittmans vision. |

I think a few of the real estate agents may think to try that... | ||

While I share concern about marketing efforts which undercut the work and contributions of professionals using MP technology, I also rest easy in the knowledge that even a system as fast, easy and even free as Zillow's 3D Home has been used so little. This evidences that the simplification of virtual tour production has had little impact on the work of MSPs. I provide many visual marketing services, HDR photography, videography, drone photography, 3D modeling, 3D terrain mapping and custom websites, and I have found that MP's share of my company's work is increasing. Virtual tours of all types (omitting the awful slide-show misnomer), that is 3D and 360 with or without dollhouse modeling, are becoming more prevalent. At the same time, I find traditional video being used less. As these processes advance and are faster and easier to create, most agents still will want someone else to create them. If the process is faster, it can be provided at a lower cost and more agents will consider its use, expanding the market and increasing homeowner awareness, the critical key to 3D/360 becoming ubiquitous. I look forward to seeing what MP has to announce. |
