Hi All, I received the following email from a WGAN Member: ---- Hi Dan, Sorry to bother you - but you’re always helpful! I have a multi-property project, part of which is a premium brand car restoration business and one of their workshops (essentially an industrial unit) I was forced to shoot as two models: - the main model covers the workshop, a servicing space, a storage area and a dyno-testing facility, - the second model is a machine shop for rebuilding engines (which I shot first) When I came to do the second shoot too much had moved in the machine shop - hence the 2 models. I did however shoot a few panos going through the doors into that room (which can be cropped) but I wanted to ask Matterport support if they could use that overlap to ‘magically’ combine the two models into one. And I seem to recall reading on the forum someone singing the praises of Dee for had performed some kind of model-fix for them. I can see Dee’s photo amongst the support team on the Matterport support page, but wondered if you knew how I might target my request directly too her (rather than send a general request to Matterport). Also, I think I’m going to start using CAPTUR3D (only watched 1st of the 5 videos you did with them and looking forward to the remainder)...so Thank You for bringing them to my attention! Bit cloudy here - no hurricanes expected tho🤞! Have a nice day [redacted] --- Hello [redacted], Thanks for reaching out. Congrats on an exciting use of Matterport. Yes. Many members of the WGAN Forum sing the praise of Matterport Technical Support Engineer/Readiness Lead Dee Johnson for, among other things, combining adjacent spaces. I recommend that you open a Matterport Support ticket here ... https://support.matterport.com/hc/en-us ... and allow Matterport Support to decide whom to assign your project. Thanks for planning to watch the other WGAN-TV CAPTUR3D theme week shows. Among the places that you can watch WGAN-TV shows are in the WGAN Forum discussions, WGAN-TV Podcast in the Apple Podcasts app and WGAN-TV Training U (As a WGAN Standard Member, you get a free All Access Pass.) Plus, you can watch on TV via Roku and Amazon Fire. Best, Dan |

They need to send links to the models to Dee through MOUG Facebook if she is still available there. That how I combined two sets of multiple models into two big models for publishing them on GSV as a whole. Dee asked me to show my models to her first and then confirmed it could be done. It took her about 48 hours to combine two sets into two big models. | ||
