| Hi Forum. We recently purchased a BLK360. I have an architect firm that wants to use our services. They especially want to use it for BIM. As this is still a new field for us. The client wants us to do a Matterport tour but also provide the point cloud and Obj files that they can use in their BIM and designing. What outputs can we use after they have done there designing and rendering to create a virtual tour from their data similar to Matterport or do an overlay in Matterport showing the new space inside of the tour? I know about a year back BIM Object announced a partnership with Matterport, but I don't see any samples of the output. is there anyone on the forum that specializes in this and also cleans up the point cloud scans and creates output files for Revit and Archicad? |

| Hey Gerhad, Im Santiago and have been working with point clouds in BIM software for over two years mostly in Barcelona and Colombia. Most of our clients work with Archicad, it reads .e57 files. but its very important to clean very good the scan so its manageble, cause it handles those files in a diferent way than Revit or autodesk softwares. we also work with point cloud for infrastructure projects, this is done with recap and infraworks. let me know if we can give you a hand.
