6 monthsGETMYVR (1913): It's a good question. For most bedrooms, the living room and hallways I ahoot about chest level. Once I get in the bathroom I'm probably about 1 ft above the vanity. Also, when you do bathrooms it's good to do a second low shot right into the bathroom. For kitchens I bring it up a little bit higher, 5.5' because everybody wants to see the countertops. When I do 360 scans outside I bring it up about 5 ft. 5 to 6 ft.

9 yearsMaria (106): I've had this issue pop up on occasion. Besides a sunk in living area become its own floor, we have also seen a floor of a split level home become an extension of the first floor. From my discussion with Matterport on the issue, they are tweaking their processing algorithms to prevent/reduce the occurrences of wrong floor issue. Back up your iPad scans so you can resubmit them later. Until then, turning of the floors is the best solution.

9 yearspixelray (1056): Keep the scans closer vs further away. Take your time. Use your level to keep camera perfect. The goal should be to not have a scan that won't align. Read up on this site. It has helped tremendously. Oh and practice on your own house with several scans of it. Good luck!

At the end of the day, its all about lead capture. In an industry where we spend $1,000's/month on lead capture, getting 6-8 text ins every week off of 6-10 signs for $20/month is a good return on investment.

I owned a Matterport before, and was still hiring a professional photographer to shoot stills because the screen grabs from matterport weren't up to our standards. Now I'm getting everything all in one and am saving time by just having them do it. I do miss the doll house but in long run I believe this is a better consumer experience

I tried to get it approved but due to the closed nature of the MP system there was no way that Google would even consider it.
