Video: WGAN-TV Matterport Workshop 3.0 Part 4 of 5 Short Story #671- Tips For Multiple Floors Spaces with Matterport Marketing Manager Amir Frank Hi All, Got an elevator in your Matterport 3D Tour? Why not enable the user to use the elevator button to get to the next floor? In this WGAN-TV Short Story (#671), Matterport Marketing Manager shares this tip for mashing up a Matterport deep link (created using the "U" key) and a MatterTag to activate the elevator buttons in an office space. Geek Alert: "A deep link is a URL you create that links to a specific location and viewpoint in a Matterport Space," says this Matterport Support page. What are other reasons for mashing up a Matterport deep link within a MatterTag? Got an example? Please share it here. Best, Dan |

I have always felt you can get to a certain viewpoint in a model with a specific URL parameter attached to a link for a model. I think I have even seen it in their API. However I have never dug deeper in their API to figure out what parameter I need to use and most importantly where to get that scan id for a specific viewpoint. It is actually cool that they have implemented it in their workshop. |

It is actually working just in a browser so even viewers can get that link generated. I can see an immediate use for it when you do MatterTags for your customers. Before they would need to provide a detailed description for each tag location. Now they can just walk to a feature where mattertag should be placed, centre it, zoom to it and then press "U" to get the link that they can send to you. |
