How to enable the user of Matterport 3D Tours to add their own measurements Hi All, How do you enable the user of a Matterport 3D Tour to add their measurements to the space without inviting them as a Matterport Collaborator as shown in Screen Grab 1 above? Easy! Toggle on the CAPTUR3D Measurement Tool to display the Matterport 3D Tour via CAPTUR3D Skinned Player. --- Screen Grab 2: See toggle for the Measurement Tool within the CAPTUR3D Back-end Content Management System. --- The CAPTUR3D Player for Matterport 3D Tours is like the Matterport Showcase Player on Steroids. According to this CAPTUR3D Support Page: "CAPTUR3D provides a public, forward-facing measurement tool for your spaces - enabling your users to measure directly from within the tour player itself." "Toggle between metric and imperial measurements and hold shift while clicking to create connected points of reference: You can also showcase fixed measurements of your spaces made within the Matterport Workshop for public view. You can toggle the measurement tool on/off within your CAPTUR3D account." --- Screen Grab 3: Measurement Tool in CAPTUR3D Player for Matterport 3D Tour Space. --- In the We Get Around Atlanta Matterport 3D Tour (above), you will notice the Measurement Tool displayed. Potential home buyers can now easily figure-out if their furniture will fit which may mean a faster offer. Using the CAPTUR3D Player for Matterport 3D Tours is another way that you can differentiate yourself from other Matterport Service Providers. I think it's great. That would be perfect if there was something to save them (the measurements) too (you need to quit the measurement tool and loose them to move to another scan right?) |

Bonjour Romain, J'espère que tout va bien! The ability to export and save measurements using our forward-facing measurement tool is a feature we're really excited about integrating into CAPTUR3D... We are currently waiting for the Matterport SDK to be updated so that we can add this to our measurement tool. Please let me know if I can help with anything else at all. Thanks! |
