Hi All, If you can't beat them, join them! "Marriott International Inc. is starting a new home-rental business, aiming to take on Airbnb Inc. and other home-sharing companies in one of the lodging industry's hottest segments," said The Wall Street Journal today (Tuesday, 30 April 2019). "The Bethesda, Md.-based company said that starting next week it will offer accommodations in about 2,000 high-end homes throughout 100 markets across the U.S., Europe and Latin America." [Compared to Airbnb's 6 million listing.] The Washington Post (30 April 2019) Marriott dives into home-rental market to keep an edge on Airbnb Since every home/apartment is different, seems like a great opportunity for Matterport Service Providers. I would imagine that existing photography agencies that handle photography for Matterport hotel rooms will be be scrambling to find and book Matterport Service Providers. Your thoughts? Best, Dan |

It depends on how they are going to profit from transactions. As far as I know AirBnb is blocking Matterport tours because they cannot control what's inside them. I think they are just afraid that homeowners find a way(and there are plenty in Matterport) to pass their contact details through a tour leaving AirBnb without their commision. | ||
