Video: "DJI Spark 2 What Can We Expect?" Video courtesy of Bill The Drone Reviewer YouTube Channel Hi All, Are drone videos – like this one – helpful to you? Seems like as a real estate photographer, you either are: ✓ a drone Pro ✓ thinking about becoming a drone Pro ✓ thinking about "what's next" in drones (I try to look for great content from well subscribed YouTubers and/or the video has a ton of views.) Best, Dan P.S. Thinking about becoming a drone Pro? Check out Drone Pilot Ground School FAQs | Curriculum |

The problem with the whole commercial Drone industry is that there are too many rules. I am not saying it is bad to put restrictions on when, where and how you can fly them but in reality it makes a lot of jobs for commercial drone pilots illegal. I subscribed for a service a few weeks ago where they bring clients(like your membership) to registered in their system drone pilots. They promise to send 8 job enquiries before I even give them my credit card details. Almost all 8 I have received are illegal drone jobs. Probably all 8 are illegal as some of them do not have location(with no fly zone) specified but they are still breaking rules about flying over people, for filming some sport events or weddings. Finding the one that won't break any rule would be hard and rare for metro area and it is most likely will have nothing to do with real estate. May be agro, mining and some commercial plant inspections. However for these you will probably need some expensive thermal or multispectral camera or a drone with a crop sprayer. |

Not really, since my drone is not from DJI there is no geofencing implemented for my drone. The jobs I have mentioned can only be done breaking some rules. Some are deneatelly in no fly zone being 2kms from Brisbane City(planes fly paths, hospital helipads around) and those that may be lucky to be in a fly zone in metro area are still breaking other rules(no flying in highly built in residential area or above people). That's why I have commented your first post. It is not about what drone to get. It is just when some people who want to get a drone and a license to fly it for real estate commercial jobs are not realising that most of them will be either breaking rules to earn some good income from drone property aerial or have to refuse most of the jobs in this industry if they do not want to lose their license or get into troubles. |
