Matterport Piece of Gear of the Week

Hi All,

Do you use Matterport to scan large, clutter-free, level spaces?

Are you using a tripod dolly to get the job done faster?

One of the advantages of having an Amazon Affiliate account for links for Matterport gear and accessories is that I get to see what the WGAN Forum Community is buying (I can not see who bought it: just that it was bought).

An example is the tripod dolly (above).

If you look at the WGAN Forum Buy Gear tab (above), you'll see that we include additional options for tripod dollies.

Which tripod dolly do you use and why?

Best,

Dan

Absolutely, When you are using a new iPad Pro you would be wasting time, lifting and placing the tripod all the time. The secret is to have a second tripod for stairs. One issue I have with my manfrotto 190 (three extension)is that I have too not fully extend the legs so I get the camera at the best height. I need to try and find a tripod that would only need the middle column raised a little.

I am looking at getting another dolly to use on clean floors only. I use a ProAm USA dolly but I think they are all the same, just different labels. With that been said I will never get and extendable dolly again. After a short while they start twisting on the arms which will cause the castors to be at the incorrect height.
