| Hi All, 8 percent of all homes sold in the US in 2018 had a Matterport 3D Tour, according to this Matterport job posting (5 April 2019). Since this stat is based on homes sold, I wonder what the stat was for homes listed (which is suspect is much less). Perhaps homes with Matterport 3D Tours are more likely to sell? Best, Dan |

| @DanSmigrod It would be great if Matterport would do a much better job of equipping us with such stats. Instead, we are left to fend for ourselves to come up with stats that they should be providing. Keith |

| I calculate stats in our local South Florida markets monthly directly from MLS and sales reporting data... We are considered a "hot" real estate market and we are nowhere near 8%... heck, we aren't even near 1%. For January: Percentage of homes sold with Matterport: 0.0% Percentage of new listings with Matterport: 0.003% Percentage of homes sold with professional photos: 67.2% Percentage of new listings with professional photos: 25.8% For February: Percentage of homes sold with Matterport: 0.0001% Percentage of new listings with Matterport: 0.003% Percentage of homes sold with professional photos: 87.7% Percentage of new listings with professional photos: 38.1% For March: Percentage of homes sold with Matterport: 0.0002% Percentage of new listings with Matterport: 0.004% Percentage of homes sold with professional photos: 81.4% Percentage of new listings with professional photos: 38.2% If our data is indicative of other markets, which I predict it is probably better actually, then I would have to say that I think the 8% rate quoted by Matterport lacks "truthiness." |

| Just had one of my listings go under contract to an out of town buyer who has never been in the home. I shoot my own 3D tours with a Pro 2 Lite and my MLS pics from the snapshots. The agent did a face time in the home with his clients just prior to writing the offer. My advantage in being an agent with a Matterport is I don't have to pay a photographer to shoot it. This is a great marketing angle though. clickable text |

| Conclusion: to sell a home you need no 3D or virtual tour at all. I can 120% confirm this for germany and especially cities like Berlin or Munich. Also I could confirm that e.g. on germany´s largest portals the number of all virtual tours or single 360 pix is far below 1% all together. MP tours on it´s own - irrelevant. Therefore I assume strongly, that @immersivespaces numbers are more correct than Matterports. |
